MACEDO LEADS RIC AT THE UMASS DARTMOUTH CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

North Dartmouth, MA-Senior Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI) placed 51st (272 competitors) with a time of 26:05 to lead the Rhode Island College menís cross country team to a 21st place (36 teams) finish to open the 2010 season at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

The Anchormen totaled a score of 629. Keene State won the meet with a score of 73.

 

Sophomore Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 112th with a time of 27:24. Freshman Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 135th with a time of 27:51.

 

Sophomore Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 184th with a time of 29:22. Classmate Conor Breagy (Exeter, RI) placed 208th with a time of 30:04.

 

Freshman Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) placed 214th with a time of 30:32. Freshman Ian McCord (Bristol, RI) rounded out the RIC contingent by placing 231st with a time of 31:39.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Cod Fish Bowl, held at Franklin Park in Boston, on Saturday, Sept. 25.
