BOYER HELPS RIC TO DOWN VIKINGS, 3-1

Salem, MA-Sophomore outside hitter Breanna Boyer (West Greenwich, RI) led the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team with 14 kills and 10 digs as the Anchorwomen defeated Salem State, 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-20, 25-15).

Freshman outside hitter Amanda Cabral (Riverside, RI) and sophomore setter Jessica Ho (Providence, RI) also contributed to the win as Cabral finished with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Ho chipped in with a match-high 32 assists.

 The Anchorwomen win their second straight match and improve to 8-10, while Salem State drops to 3-11.

 

 Sophomore Jazmine Barrows (New Bedford, MA) led Salem State with 13 assists and three digs. Angelica Gonzalez (Lawrence, MA), nine kills, and Rachel Murphy (Wallingford, CT), nine kills, and three digs also played well for the Vikings in the loss.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College and Clark will travel to Westfield State on Saturday, Oct. 2 for a tri-match.
