RIC junior forward Alexis Smith (Wakefield, RI) picked up an assist on Graham's marker for her team-leading 27th point of the season.

Connecticut College opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Clark delivered a through ball to Kharasch, who was able to beat the keeper in a one-on-one situation. Later on in the half with 9:14 remaining, Kharasch dribbled around a defender on the left side and found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 contest.

In the 43rd minute of play, the Camels closed out their scoring. Celia Alvarez delivered a cross to the far post and Abbott chipped in a shot from 10 yards that provided the hosts with a 3-0 advantage.

But RIC battled back for a score with just 10 seconds left in the half. Smith delivered a cross to Graham who was right on the doorstep to carom a shot in off the top off the crossbar.

The Anchorwomen applied some additional pressure in the second stanza. With 18:45 remaining, Smith got behind Connecticut College goalkeeper Kirsten Manville (Fairfax, VA) and nearly scored but senior defender Chelsea Johnson (South Portland, ME) was able to break up the play in front of the goal.

With 17:20 to go, Manville denied RIC junior forward Ashley Choiniere (Hope, RI) on her bid with a glove save from point-blank range.

Manville finished with six saves in the contest for the Camels. Freshman goalkeeper Abygayle Fisher (Exeter, NH) kept the visitors in contention with 14 saves in the game.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East Conference play at Plymouth State on Saturday, Oct. 9.
