JANDREAU NAMED LITTLE EAST
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

Providence, R.I.óRhode Island College senior catcher Kayla Jandreau (Plainville, CT) was named the Little East Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance in a 6-0 week for the Anchorwomen.

 

 

 

Jandreau batted .556 (10-for-18) with nine runs scored and three RBI to help Rhode Island College raise its winning streak to 17 games. She safely in five of her six contests, including four with multiple base knocks. Jandreau went 4-for-5 to pace the Anchorwomen past Southern Maine on Saturday with a 3-for-3 performance in the, 9-0 (5) opener. Earlier in the week, she posted a 4-for-6 performance with a double and two RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Roger Williams.

 

 

 

For the season, Jandreau is batting .377 (23-for-61) with 23 runs scored, 23 hits, four doubles, a triple, six RBI and eight stolen bases.

 

Head Coach Maria Morinís team is currently 17-3 overall and 4-0 (first place) in the Little East Conference.
