MANGUM PICKS UP ALL-N.E. HONORS

Cambridge, MA-Sophomore Kim Mangum (Warwick, RI) earned All-New England honors in the long jump, while freshman Jessica Graham (Wakefield, RI) broke her own record in the pole vault, as the Rhode Island College women's outdoor track & field team competed at the New England Div. III Championships, hosted by MIT on Saturday.

 

Mangum placed seventh in the long jump (5.37m), which tied the program record, and also finished 16th in the triple jump (10.50m).

Graham placed 13th in the pole vault (3.10m) and 24th in the 400m hurdles (1:10.03).

 

Senior Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI) placed 23rd in the 400m hurdles (1:09.25).

 

Senior Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed 21st in the 5,000m (18:57.48).

 

The 4x400m relay team comprised of DiBlasi, Graham, Mangum and freshman Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) placed ninth (4:11.07).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Open Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14.
