FOUR RECORDS FALL AS RIC COMPETES
AT HARVARD INVITATIONAL

Cambridge, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women’s indoor track and field team competed at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring. The field was made up of Div. I, II and III institutions, as well as, junior colleges and private track clubs.

 

Four program records were established at the meet. Senior Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, RI) placed eighth in the 3,000m with a school-record time of 10:50.75.

Freshman Jessica Graham (Wakefield, RI) broke the pole record (3.05m) with a sixth place performance.

Freshmen Rachel Frazier (Westerly, RI) and Katie Palumbo (Greenville, RI), along with seniors Brooke Iby (Lowell, MA) and Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI), broke the school record in the 4x440 yard relay with a sixth place (4:14.27) finish.

DiBlasi broke her school record in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (10.01) with a 20th place effort.

 

RIC is off for finals and the Christmas holidays. The Anchorwomen will resume competition at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 8.
