AMADO EARNS ALL-ECAC HONORS IN THE 400M

New York, N.Y.—Rhode Island College freshman Craig Amado (Providence, RI) earned All-ECAC honors in the 400m with a fourth place finish (49.29) as the Anchormen competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships held at New York University.

 

RIC tied for 38th place (53 teams) with a team score of 5.0. Buffalo State won the meet with a score of 57.0.

 

 

 Freshman Craig Amado

 

Amado also placed ninth in the triple jump (13.89m).

 

            Senior Kyle Duguay (Cumberland, RI) placed 26th in the 200m (23.02). 

 

Freshman Brandon Aikens (Cumberland, RI) placed 27th in the 200m (23.10).

 

 Sophomore Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) placed 18th in the 500m (1:07.01).

 

 The 4x800m relay team comprised of sophomores Pena, Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI), Kevin Carey (Wakefield, RI) and Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 12th (8:02.09).

 

 Amado, Duguay, Aikens and sophomore George N’Tow (Providence, RI)  placed 12th in the 4x400m relay (3:21.88).
