LEIGH SHOOTS 79 TO LEAD MEN'S GOLF
TO SEASON-OPENING WIN

Groton, Conn.-Sophomore Tim Leigh (Somerset, MA) was the medalist and all five Anchormen finished in the top five as the Rhode Island College men's golf team opened the 2011-12 season with a 327-377 win over Mitchell College in a match played at Shennecossett Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon.

 

Leigh, who shot a 79, was followed by freshman Patrick Ford (Halifax, MA) who posted a score of 81.

Freshman Ryan Butler (Windham, NH) was third with an 82, while junior Kyle Garcia (Rehoboth, MA) and sophomore Zach Guillette (Tiverton, RI) tied for fourth with an 85.
