RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES EIGHTH
AT THE POP CROWELL INVITATIONAL
O’Connor Finishes Fourth at RIC’s Third Competition

Wenham, Mass.-Freshman Alyssa O’Connor (Portsmouth, RI) finished fourth overall (270 runners) with a time of 19:29 to lead Rhode Island College to an eighth place (26 teams) finish at the Pop Crowell Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 263. Saint Anselm College won the meet with a score of 56.0.

 

 

 Freshman Alyssa O'Connor

 

Sophomore Jacqueline Hurteau (North Kingstown, RI) placed 14th with a time of 20:05, while sophomore Chelsea Marshall (New Bedford, MA) finished 64th with a time of 21:18.

 

Senior Brittany Richer (Woonsocket, RI) posted a 114th-place effort with a time of 22:42. Junior Allyson Bejma (Pawtucket, RI) placed 118th with a time of 22:51.

 

Freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY) placed 124th with a time of 23:07.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8.
