RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE PLACES EIGHTH
AT JAMES EARLEY INVITATIONAL
Conor McCloskey Finishes 11th  

Westfield, Mass.-Junior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed 11th (306 runners) as the Rhode Island College menís cross country team placed eighth (31 teams) at the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park on Saturday afternoon.

He posted a time of 26:47.56. RIC totaled a score of 299. Coast Guard won the meet with a score of 67.0.

 

Freshman Ian LaPlume (Hope Valley, RI) placed 58th with a time of 28:16.76. Junior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 72nd with a time of 28:35.09.

 

Sophomore Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) placed 92nd with a time of 29:00.12. Freshman Marcus Sandoval (Portsmouth, RI) placed 118th with a time of 29:40.98.

 

Sophomore Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) placed 134th with a time of 29:59.01. Junior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) placed 152nd with a time of 30:18.43.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will face Eastern Connecticut in a dual competition on Saturday, Oct. 15 in Willimantic.
