RIC WINS DUAL MEET WITH WARRIORS

Willimantic, Conn.-Freshman Alyssa O’Connor (Portsmouth, RI) took second place on Saturday to help guide Rhode Island College to a 27-28 victory over Eastern Connecticut in a women’s cross country meet held at Mansfield Hollow State Park. The individual times for the race are unavailable at this time.

 

Sophomore Jacqueline Hurteau (North Kingstown, RI) placed third, while sophomore Chelsea Marshall (New Bedford, MA) finished sixth.

Freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY) placed seventh, while senior Brittany Richer (Woonsocket, RI) finished ninth. Junior Allyson Bejma (Pawtucket, RI) rounded out the RIC contingent with a 13th place finish.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2011 Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Oct. 29.
