ANCHORMEN LEAD AFTER DAY ONE AT
JWU FALL INVITATIONAL
Ford is +1 & Leads by Three Strokes

Cranston, R.I.-Freshman Patrick Ford (Halifax, MA) leads a field of 30 golfers after day one of competition at the Johnson & Wales Fall Invitational played at Cranston Country Club.

 

The Anchormen totaled a first-day score of 310 (+26) and leads both JWU (315, +31) and UMass Dartmouth (315, +31) by five strokes.

 

 

 Freshman Patrick Ford

 

Ford shot a 72 (+1) to lead all competitors, while junior Kyle Harper (Rehoboth, MA) is tied for sixth with a 77 (+6).

 

Freshman Ryan Butler (Windham, NH) is tied for 10th after carding a 79 (+8). Sophomore Tim Leigh (Somerset, MA) is tied for 13th at 82 (+11).

 

Sophomore Zach Guillette (Tiverton, RI) is 29th with a score of 95 (+24).

 

Competition will continue tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the final round.
