After freshman midfielder Alyssa Bufis (Linden, NJ) found the back of the net with 9:56 remaining for Nichols, RIC added back-to-back goals, one from Signoriello and one from freshman attacker Jessica Ricci (Hope, RI), to take a 6-5 lead.

Yet, the Bison bounced back with three scores in a row, two of them from freshman attacker Grace Murphy (Montclair, VA), to take an 8-6 lead into the intermission.

After Nichols freshman midfielder Sam McMillan (Bridgewater, MA) scored with 26:31 remaining in the second half to give Nichols a 9-6 lead, the Anchorwomen responded with four straight goals over the next eight minutes to take the lead back, the last one coming from Signoriello with 18:09 left to play.

Both defenses picked up the intensity through the remainder of the game, until Forand snuck one past RIC sophomore goalkeeper Taryn Carbone (Cranston, RI) with 7:29 on the clock to knot the game at 10.

With the game on the line, Bufis took a pass from senior midfielder Emily Yourie (Ellington, CT) with 18 seconds left and scored the game-winning goal to propel Nichols past RIC, 11-10.

Carbone (2-9) made seven saves, while senior goalkeeper Danielle Mott (Cranston, RI) improved to 6-5, making 12 saves in the win.

Forand led the Bison with five goals, while Murphy and Bufis each finished with a pair of scores. Murphy also tallied five draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Aside from five goals from Drolet and four from Signoriello, Ricci posted a goal for RIC while senior midfielder Jenna Childs (Cranston, RI) led the squad with four ground balls and five draw controls.
