DARIA BRABOY PLACES SECOND IN THE 400M AT N.E. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Cambridge, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women's track & field team placed 27th (35 teams) at the New England Outdoor Championships, hosted by MIT on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 8.0. The University of Rhode Island won the meet with a score of 106.0. 

 

Freshman Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) placed second in the 400m (56.20), tied for 11th in the triple jump (10.98m) and finished 15th in the 200m with a new program record effort (25.33). Braboy established a new program record in the 400m for the second consecutive week.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2012 ECAC Championships, hosted by RPI on Thursday and Friday, May 17-18.
