LEIGH TIED FOR 57TH AS MEN'S GOLF WRAPS UP DAY ONE OF COMPETITION
AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.Sophomore Tim Leigh (Somerset, MA) carded a 76, which tied him for 57th overall (210 golfers), as Rhode Island College wrapped up the first day of competition at the 2012 NCAA Div. III Men's Golf Championships.

 

The Anchormen totaled a team score of 316 (+28) after playing round one at the Mission Inn Resort and Club. RIC is currently in a tie for 28th in the 41-team field.

 

In addition to Leigh, freshman Patrick Ford (Halifax, MA) shot a 79, which tied him for 109th. Junior Kyle Harper (Rehoboth, MA) carded an 80 (126th tie).

 

Freshman Ryan Butler (Windham, NH) recorded an 81 (141st tie), while junior Kyle Garcia (Rehoboth, MA) rounded out the RIC contingent with a 94 (205th tie).

 

The Anchormen will play round two tomorrow.
