MILLER BREAKS 60M RECORD AS ANCHORWOMEN OPEN TRACK SEASON AT SPRINGFIELD

Springfield, Mass.-Sophomore Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) broke the program record in the 60m (8.59) as the Rhode Island College women's track & field team opened the indoor season at a five-team meet held at Springfield College on Saturday afternoon.

The Anchorwomen placed fifth with a team score of 57.0. Springfield won the meet with a score of 247.5.

 

 

Freshman Daria Braboy

 

RIC also notched three first place finishes on the day. Freshman Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) placed first in the 600m (1:41.94) and second in the triple jump (10.66m).

 

 

Freshman Kadijah Johnson

 

Freshman Kadijah Johnson (Central Falls, RI) placed first in the weight throw (14.18m) and eighth in the shot (8.99m).

 

 

Freshman Kayla Cataldo

 

Freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY) placed first in the pole vault (2.90m) and fourth in the 400m (1:04.57).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday, December 10 (10 a.m.).
