KELLEY PACES ANCHORWOMEN TRACK
SOUTHERN MAINE INVITATIONAL

Gorham, Maine-Senior Amanda Kelley (Cumberland, RI) tallied a pair of first place finishes in her first action of the season as the Rhode Island College women's track & field team competed at the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Kelley took first place in both the weight throw (14.62m) and shot put (11.86m).

 

Freshman Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) finished second in both the 200m (26.68) and triple jump (10.63m), while placing third in the 55m (7.60).

Freshman Kadijah Johnson (Central Falls, RI) placed fourth in the 55m (7.94) and also took fifth in the weight throw (13.84m).

 

Freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY) placed third in the pole vault (2.75m) and finished seventh in the 600m (1:52.80).

 

Sophomore Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) placed fourth in the 200m (28.65) and sixth in the 55m (8.13).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14 (10 a.m.).
