NORRIS, MCCLOSKEY & FORBES BREAK RECORDS
AT WESLEYAN INVITATIONAL

Middletown, Conn.-Sophomore Blest Norris (Grosse Pointe, MI) placed second and established a new program record in the 60m (7.10), while junior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) broke the school mark in the 3,000m (8:40.44) with a second-place effort and freshman Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) placed third in the 60m hurdles (8.67) with another top time, as the Rhode Island College men's indoor track & field team competed at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Norris also placed second in the 200m (23.31) and paired with Forbes, freshman Aleno Gomes (Providence, RI) and junior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) to take home first in the 4x400m relay (3:30.03).

 

As an individual, Gomes placed third in the 400m (51.72). Forbes placed fourth in the 400m (51.83) and sixth in the high jump (1.81m).

 

Junior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed second in the 800m (2:00.13).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Boston University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 28.
