BRABOY & JOHNSON SET RIC MARKS AT
B.U. TERRIER INVITATIONAL
4x400m Relay Mark Also Falls

Cambridge, Mass.-Freshman Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) broke her own school record in the 400m, established a new record in the 200m, classmate Kadijah Johnson (Central Falls, RI) snapped her RIC mark in the weight throw and the 4x400m relay team established a new Anchorwomen standard as the Rhode Island College women’s indoor track and field team competed at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Friday evening. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

Braboy placed 17th in 400m (58.37), 14th in the triple jump (10.79m), 25th in the 200m (25.98) and teamed up with freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY), sophomore Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) and freshman Chelsea Key (Putnam, CT) to finish 16th in the 4x400m relay (4:05.77).

 

Johnson placed 14th in the weight throw (15.23m) and 31st in the preliminaries of the 60m (8.29)

Senior Amanda Kelley (Cumberland, RI) placed 16th in the shot (11.87m) and 25th in the weight throw (14.00m).

 

Cataldo placed 16th in the pole vault (2.90m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Feb. 11.
