MCCLOSKEY BREAKS HIS OWN SCHOOL MARK
IN THE MILE AS RIC SEES ACTION
AT TERRIER INVITATIONAL

Cambridge, Mass.-Junior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) broke his own school record in the mile (4:15.41) with a 29th place finish as the Rhode Island College men's indoor track & field team competed at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

Sophomore Craig Amado (Providence, RI) placed sixth in the triple jump (14.31m) and 32nd in the 400m (50.34).

 

Junior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 27th in the 800m (1:56.05).

 

Sophomore Blest Norris (Grosse Pointe, MI) placed 48th in the 200m (22.84), while teaming with Amado, freshman Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) and freshman Aleno Gomes (Providence, RI) to finish 20th (3:23.73) as part of the 4x400m relay.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Feb. 11.
