BRABOY LEADS RIC WOMEN’S TRACK AT NEICAAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Boston, Mass.-The Rhode Island College women's indoor track and field team competed at the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Boston University and broke two program records on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen did not score as a team. UConn won the meet with a score of 123.

 

Freshman Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) broke her own record in the 400m with an 11th place finish and a time of 57.75. She also placed 19th in the triple jump (10.75m).

Braboy was also a part of the 4x400m relay team that took 21th place (4:04.52), along with freshman Kayla Cataldo (Ronkonkoma, NY), sophomore Natasha Miller (Wakefield,RI) and freshman Chelsea Key (Putnam, CT).

 

Freshman Kadijah Johnson (Central Falls, RI) took 17th in the weight throw (14.83m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will see action at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships at the New Balance Armory in New York City on Friday and Saturday, Mar. 2-3.
