AMADO PLACES 13TH AT NCAA TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Grinnell, IowaŚRhode Island College sophomore Craig Amado (Providence, RI) wrapped up competition at the 2012 NCAA Div. III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships with a 13th place finish in the triple jump. Amado recorded a distance of 13.64 meters.

Amado placed 10th in the triple jump (13.93m) and 17th in the 400m (51.14) at the ECAC Div. III Championships on March 3.

 

He broke his own record in the triple jump with a fourth place finish (14.86m) and placed 14th in the 400m (49.47) at the NEICAAA Championship on Feb. 25.

 

Amado placed ninth in the triple jump (13.49m) and 20th in the 400m (53.01) at the New England Div. III Championships on Feb. 18.  

 

He earned N.E. Alliance honors in three events, placing fourth in the long jump (6.67m), fifth in the triple jump (13.44m) and third as part of the 4x400m relay (3:27.96) at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 11.
