ANCHORMEN PLACE FIFTH AT
WESLEYAN INVITATIONAL

Middletown, Conn.- Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished seventh out of 95 runners with a time of 26:36.90 to guide the Rhode Island College menís cross country team to a fifth place finish (10 teams) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchormen totaled a score of 169, while Bowdoin won the meet with a score of 18.

 

Senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 34th with a time of 28:29.00, while junior Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) finished 54th with a time of 29:40.80.

Senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) finished 62nd with a time of 30:08.10, while junior Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) finished with a time of 30:27.90 to place 65th.

 

Freshman Brandon Paulino (Bristol, RI) followed with a time of 31:14.00 to finish 71st, while freshman Kenny Bouchey (Cornish, ME) rounded out the Anchormen runners with a 73rd place finish and a time of 31:56.40.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College on Saturday, Sept. 29 (11:30 a.m.).
