BOYER AND ANCHORWOMEN
CRUISE BY VIKINGS

Salem, Mass.-Senior outside hitter Breanna Boyer (West Greenwich, RI) recorded a match-high 13 kills, while classmate setter Jessica Ho (Providence, RI) set up 21 winners, as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team won for the second straight match in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-18) shutout victory over over Salem State on Thursday night.

 

Freshman outside hitter Michelle Malboeuf (Cumberland, RI) and classmate right side hitter Lauren Palazzini (Woonsocket, RI) each contributed eight kills for the Anchorwomen (5-10). Ho also led the way with six digs, while Boyer and four others made five. Malboeuf was especially impressive from the service line with six aces.

 

SSU's Samantha Duprey  equaled Boyer's effort with 13 kills for the hosts (1-9).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will face Westfield State and Clark at a tri-match hosted by the Cougars on Saturday, Sept. 29 (11 a.m.).
