DORSEY TAKES SECOND AT WNE'S
GOLDEN BEAR INVITATIONAL

Springfield, Mass.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) finished second (212 runners) with a time of 19:04.34 to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team to a 11th place finish (23 teams) at the WNE Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Western New England University on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 355, while Westfield State won the meet with a score of 41.

Freshman Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) registered a time of 20:22.69 to finish 24th, while freshman Florraine Lapotry (Cumberland, RI) finished 137th with a time of 24:26.03.

 

Senior Ally Bejma (Pawtucket, RI) posted a time of 25:34.59 to finish 165th, while freshman Nicole Gracie (West Warwick, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen runners with a time of 26:52.50 to finish 182nd.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2012 N.E. Alliance Championships hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, Oct. 27 (11 a.m.).
