JAIMEE DORSEY CAPTURES N.E. ALLIANCE HONORS WITH SIXTH PLACE FINISH

Westfield, Mass.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) earned N.E. Alliance honors with a sixth place finish (155 runners) as Rhode Island College placed ninth (13 teams) at the 2012 N.E. Alliance Women's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 262 in the N.E. Alliance, which is comprised of Little East Conference and MASCAC institutions, while placing fifth (five teams) in the LEC with a score of 117.0. Keene State won both championships.

 

Dorsey finished with a time of 19:02.90 and was fourth among Little East competitors.

Freshman Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) placed 24th with a time of 19:46.30. Junior Jessica Graham (Wakefield, RI) placed 124th with a time of 24:14.73.

 

Freshman Florraine Lapotry (Cumberland, RI) finished 127th with a time of 24:35.33.

 

Senior Ally Bejma (Pawtucket, RI) posted a time of 25:13.69 to finish 133rd, while freshman Nicole Gracie (West Warwick, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen runners with a time of 25:33.68 to finish 138th.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2012 ECAC Div. III Championships, hosted by Williams on Saturday, Nov. 3 (11 a.m.).
