CONOR MCCLOSKEY EARNS ALL-ECAC HONORS AS ANCHORMEN PLACE 14th

Williamstown, Mass.-Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) earned All-ECAC honors with a sixth place (287 runners) effort at the 2012 ECAC Div. III Championships, hosted by Williams College on Saturday afternoon.

 

McCloskey finished with a time of 26:54 as the Anchormen totaled a score of 413. Amherst won the championship with a score of 44. It marked the second consecutive year McCloskey has earned All-ECAC honors, who finished 15th in 2011.

Senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed 46th with a time of 27:58, while junior Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) finished 99th (29:04).

 

Junior Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) placed 131st (29:49), while senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) finished five spots later at 136th (29:52).

 

Freshman Kenny Bouchey (Cornish, ME) placed 201st (31:45), while classmate Brandon Paulino (Bristol, RI) rounded out the RIC contingent at 210 (31:58).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Div. III Championships, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, Nov. 10 (11 a.m.).
