FORBES LEADS ANCHORMEN TO
NEW 4X400m RELAY RECORD

Providence, R.I.-Sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) placed first in the 110m hurdles (15.13), fourth in the 400m hurdles (54.99) and third as part of the 4x400m relay (3:18.67) as the Rhode Island College men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Brown Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Forbes joined freshman Jarell James (Providence, RI), senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) and junior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) to set the new program standard in the 4x400m relay.

 

Amado finished second in the triple jump (14.25m). Freshman Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) placed third in the hammer (51.75m) and 13th in the discus (36.02m).

 

James took fifth in the 100m (11.24) and seventh in the 200m (22.82). Stadnick placed 11th in the 800m (1:55.29).

 

Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished 13th in the 3,000m (8:48.01). Freshman Evan Migliore (Closter, NJ) placed ninth in the shot (13.10m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College on Saturday, April 20.
