KEVIN CAREY NAMED SECOND TEAM
ALL-LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior center fielder Kevin Carey (Wakefield, RI) was named Second Team All-Little East Conference for his performance in baseball this season.

 

Carey, who was named the baseball teamís MVP, played in 38 games, starting all of them. He batted .331 (45-for-136) with 24 runs scored, 45 hits, six doubles, two triples, 18 RBI and seven stolen bases. Carey owned a .404 slugging percentage, a .406 on-base percentage and a .986 fielding percentage.

 

 

 

He posted 13 multiple hits games this spring, including three contests in which he compiled three knocks. He scored two runs in a game on six occasions.

 

Head Coach Scott Virgulakís Anchormen finished the season with a 12-27 overall record and a 5-9 mark (sixth place tie) in the Little East Conference.
