DORSEY BREAKS TWO RECORDS AS ANCHORWOMEN
OPEN ’12-13 CAMPAIGN AT SPRINGFIELD INVITATIONAL

Providence, R.I.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) helped establish three new program records as the Rhode Island College women’s track & field team opened the indoor season at a five-team meet hosted by Springfield College on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Anchorwomen placed fourth overall with a score of 65. Springfield College won the meet with a score of 191.

 

 

 Freshman Jamiee Dorsey, sophomore Daria Braboy & junior Natasha Miller.

 

Dorsey set a record in the 800m with a second place finish (2:23.18) and in the 60m with a fourth place finish (8.14).

 

Dorsey was also part of the 4x200m relay team that set a new program record with a second place finish (1:49.84) along with sophomore Chelsea Key (Putnam, CT), sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) and junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI).

 

Braboy took first place in the 600m (1:41.80), third in the triple jump (10.61m) and fifth in the 60m (8.18).

 

Miller finished fifth in the 400m (1:04.22) and sixth in the 200m (28.38).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 8 (11 a.m.).
