AMADO LEADS ANCHORMEN AT HARVARD
OPEN INVITATIONAL

Cambridge, Mass.-Junior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) earned a pair of top five finishes  to lead the Rhode Island College menís track & field team at the Harvard Open on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Amado took third place in the 400m (50.22) and fourth place in the triple jump (14.04m).

 

Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished second in the mile (4:17.12), while classmate Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) placed second in the 800m (1:56.54).

 

Junior Blest Norris (Grosse Pointe, MI) finished fifth in the 55m (6.55), while senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) took eighth in the 500m (1:07.45).

 

Freshman Joel Ikeujamofo (Providence, RI) placed 13th in the 400m (51.60).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete in the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 5 (10 a.m.).
