ANCHORWOMEN COMPETE AT HARVARD
OPEN INVITATIONAL

Cambridge, Mass.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) placed third in the 400m with a time of 58.86 to pace the Rhode Island College women’s track & field team at the Harvard Open on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Dorsey also finished 12th in the 55m with a time of 7.37.

 

Sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) finished sixth in the 400m (59.32) and 20th in the 55m (7.44).

 

Dorsey was also part of the 4x200m relay team that set a new program record with a second place finish (1:49.84) along with sophomore Chelsea Key (Putnam, CT), sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) and junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI).

 

Freshman Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished 22nd in the 3,000m (11:29.14), while freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) placed 23rd in the long jump (4.70m).

 

Junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) placed 33rd in the 200m (27.81).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete in the Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 5 (10 a.m.).
