JAIMEE DORSEY NAMED LITTLE EAST WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year for her performance during the 2012 season.

 

Dorsey was named the team MVP and was the top RIC finisher in all eight races.  She placed 60th with a time of 22:59.02 at the 2012 N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 10. Dorsey earned All-ECAC honors after finishing 13th overall with a time of 23:46 at the 2012 ECAC Div. III Championships on Nov. 3. She earned N.E. Alliance honors with a sixth place finish and a season-best time of 19:02.90 at the 2012 N.E. Alliance Championships on Oct. 27. Dorsey placed second with a time of 19:04.34 at the WNE Golden Bear Invitational on Oct. 13.

 

 

 

She finished 33rd with a time of 23:41.91 at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 6. Dorsey finished 20th with a time of 19:31.10 at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 29. She finished 16th with a time of 20:08.00 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Sept. 22. Dorsey finished 50th with a time of 19:47 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 15. She was named the Little East Conference Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week five times on the season.
