FORBES BREAKS RIC MARK IN 60M HURDLES
AT WESLEYAN INVITATIONAL

Middletown, Conn.-Sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) earned a first place finish with a new program-record time of 8.50 in the 60m hurdles as the Rhode Island College men's indoor track & field team saw action at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Forbes also placed fourth in the 600m (1:25.45) and teamed with freshman Joel Ikuejamofo (Providence, RI), senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) and senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) to place first in the 4x400m relay (3:26.30).

Ikuejamofo also placed second in the 400m (52.20). Pena took third in the 600m (1:25.32).

 

Stadnick finished first in the 800m (1:57.09). Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) placed third in the mile (4:24.78). 

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Boston University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 26 (10 a.m.).
