FORBES BREAKS 60M HURDLES RECORD FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK AS ANCHORMEN COMPETE
AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY INVITATIONAL

Boston, Mass.-For the second consecutive week, sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) broke his own program record in the 60m hurdles as the Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field competed against primarily Division I opponents at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Forbes broke the RIC record with a time of 8.47 in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles to finish 21st. He also placed 32nd in the 400m (49.66).

Junior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) placed 10th in the triple jump (13.76m) and also finished 53rd in the 400m (50.15).

 

Freshman Joel Ikeujamofo (Providence, RI) finished 21st in the 400m (49.28), while also finishing 79th in the 200m (22.81).

 

Senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) took 25th in the 800m (1:54.22), while classmate Austin Pena (West Warwick, RI) finished 36th in the 500m (1:06.27). Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished 66th in the mile (4:21.54).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Tufts Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1-2.
