DORSEY BREAKS TWO RECORDS AS ANCHORWOMEN PLACE FOURTH
AT STAMPEDE INVITATIONAL

Medford, Mass.Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) broke the school record in the 60m (7.93) with a fourth place finish as Rhode Island College finished fourth (20 teams) at the 2013 Tufts Stampede Invitational.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 62.0, while Tufts won the meet with a 166.0 score.

 

Dorsey also paired with sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI), junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) and freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) to break the program record in the 4x200m relay (1:47.38) with a second place finish. The quartet also placed first in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:04.13.

 

Dorsey also placed first in the 400m (57.95) and second in the 200m (26.11).

 

Braboy placed seventh in the 200m (26.75), third in the 400m (58.85), fourth in the long jump (4.98m) and seventh in the triple jump (10.54m),

 

Wosencroft placed 11th in the 200m (27.21), seventh in the 400m (1:01.37), fifth in the long jump (4.90m) and 10th in the triple jump (10.24m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Feb. 9.
