JAIMEE DORSEY NAMED LITTLE EAST
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women’s Track Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season for her performance at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 2.

 

Dorsey broke the school record in the 60m (7.93) with a fourth place finish as Rhode Island College finished fourth (20 teams). The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 62.0, while Tufts won the meet with a 166.0 score.

 

 

 

Dorsey also paired with sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI), junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) and freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) to break the program record in the 4x200m relay (1:47.38) with a second place finish. The quartet also placed first in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:04.13. She also placed first in the 400m (57.95) and second in the 200m (26.11).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 N.E. Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Feb. 9.
