JAIMEE DORSEY NAMED LITTLE EAST
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK FOR SIXTH TIME

Providence, R.I.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women's Track Rookie of the Week for her performance at the 2013 New England Div. III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon. It is the sixth time this season she has received this honor.

 

The Anchorwomen totaled a score of 44.0 and placed fifth (26 teams). Tufts won the championship with a score of 116.0.

 

 

 

Dorsey was the N.E. Champion in the 400m, taking first with a time of 57.87. She also earned All-New England honors in the 200m with a third place finish and program record time of 25.88.

 

Dorsey joined, freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI), sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) and junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) to earn All-N.E. honors in the 4x200m relay (2nd; 1:45.66). The quartet also placed fourth in the 4x400m relay (4:00.10).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 N.E. Open Championships, hosted by Boston University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23.
