JAIMEE DORSEY BREAKS 400M RECORD
AT NEICAAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Boston, Mass.-Freshman Jaimee Dorsey (East Greenwich, RI) set a program record in the 400m to help lead the Rhode Island College women’s indoor track & field team to a 29th place tie (36 teams) at the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Boston University on Feb. 23.

 

The Anchorwomen finished with team score of four. UConn won the meet with a score of 149.33.

 

Dorsey broke her own record in the 400m with a fifth-place finish and a time of 56.31.

Sophomore Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) finished 11th in the preliminaries of the 400m (57.43) and 14th in the triple jump (11.13m).

 

Freshman Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI) finished 28th in the preliminaries of the 400m (58.96). The trio combined with junior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) to finish 26th in the 4x400m relay (4:01.03).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, hosted by the New Balance Armory in New York.
