AUSTIN PENA PLACES 12th IN 500M
AT NEICAAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Boston, Mass.-Senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) finished 12th in the 500m (1:06.30) to help pace the Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team at the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Boston University on Feb. 23.

 

The Anchormen did not score as a team. UConn won the meet with a score of 164.50. 

 

 

 Senior Austin Pena

 

Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished 25th in the mile (4:16.42), while fellow senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) finished 29th in the preliminaries of the 800m (1:58.23).

 

Sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) finished 25th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (8.65).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, hosted by the New Balance Armory in New York.
