West Chester, Penn.- Sophomore Cory Bridges (Foxboro, MA) finished fifth in the all-around with a score of 34.975 to help pace the Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team at a quad meet hosted by West Chester University on Saturday.


The Anchorwomen posted of a score of 166.650, but picked up a trio of losses, as Div. II West Chester registered a score of 189.650 to earn three victories on the day, while Div. II Southern Connecticut State and ECAC Div. III rival Springfield College followed with scores of 187.425 and 182.975, respectively, to best Rhode Island College (0-8, 0-5 ECAC).


Bridges finished in the top 10 on beam, recording an eighth-place score of 9.200 to lead RIC. She also finished with a team-high score of 9.050 on floor, posted a score of 9.175 on vault and finished with a score of 7.550 on bars.


Freshman Cherise Lee (Burlington, NJ) registered a team-high score of 9.225 on vault to finish in a tie for 15th overall and also finished with a score of 8.550 on floor.

Freshman Emma Hartan (Hebron, CT) competed in the all-around and finished with a total score of 33.575. She posted a team-high score of 7.800 on bars to go along with a 8.800 on vault, 8.725 on floor and an 8.250 on beam.


Sophomore Jamie Krywinski (Toms River, NJ) posted a score of 8.850 on floor, while junior Fallon Connolly (Weymouth, MA) posted a score of 8.700 on beam. Junior Courtney Saucier (Coventry, RI) finished with a score of 8.750 on beam and a score of 8.725 on vault.


In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the ECAC Championships, hosted by SUNY-Cortland, on Sunday, March 10 (1 p.m.).
