FORBES BREAKS 60M HURDLES RECORD
AT TUFTS LAST CHANCE MEET

Medford, Mass.-Sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) broke the program record in the 60m hurdles with a first-place time of 8.39 to pace the Rhode Island College menís indoor track & field team at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on Saturday afternoon. It was an individual meet with no team scoring.

 

Forbes also added to a stellar day with a fifth place performance in the 400m (50.85).

Junior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) took first place in the triple jump (13.94m), while freshman Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) posted a pair of fourth place finishes in the weight throw (15.74m) and the shot (11.84m), respectively.

 

Freshman Jarell James (Providence, RI) finished sixth in the 200m (23.18), while senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) and Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) each posted a pair of ninth-place finishes in the mile (4:18.76) and the 800m (1:57.91), respectively.
