Menís Indoor Track & Field Season Summary

Providence, RIóHead Coach Kevin Jacksonís team wrapped up the 2012-13 menís indoor track and field season with a 19th place finish (22 teams) and a score of 13.0 at the N.E. Div.  III Championships on Feb. 16.

 

Prior to that, RIC placed fifth (10 teams) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10 with a score of 93.0 and placed second in the Little East (six teams) with a score of 133.0.

 

 

 

Senior Kevin Carey (Wakefield, RI) finished 20th in the 600m (1:30.96) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 23rd in the 600m with a season-high time of 1:28.98 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Carey finished 72nd in the 500m with a season-high time of 1:10.92 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. He finished 22nd in the 800m with a season-high time of 2:13.97 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. Carey finished seventh in the 800m (2:16.77) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. He finished seventh in the 1,000m with a season-high time of 3:02.55 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5.

 

As a junior in 2011-2012, Carey was part of the 4x800m relay team that broke their own record with a 14th-place finish (7:52.55) at the NEICAAA Championships on Feb. 25. He finished 20th in the 600m (1:30.54) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 11. Carey finished 54th in the 500m (1:11.16) at the Terrier Invitational on Jan. 28. He finished 12th in the 600m (1:28.19) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. Carey took second with a season-best effort in the high jump (1.76m) and third with a season-best performance in the 800m (2:06.50) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He finished sixth in the high jump (1.66m) and 12th in 600m (1:32.66) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. Carey finished 17th in the 500m with a season-best time of 1:10.54 at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10. He placed fifth with a season-best effort in the 600m (1:29.85) and 12th in the high jump (1.66m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Carey helped establish a new program record in the 4x800m relay (7:55.99) at the NEICAAA Championship Meet on Feb. 26. Carey placed 12th with a season-best performance in the 600m (1:28.85) and 12th in the high jump (1.71m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 12. He finished 20th in the high jump (1.78m) and 33rd in the 500m (1:08.91), both of which were season-best performances, at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29. Carey placed sixth in the high jump (1.76m) and 14th in the 600m (1:29.00) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He finished fourth in the high jump (1.71m) and sixth in the 600m (1:29.41) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. Carey finished fourth  in the high jump (1.78m) and fifth in the 1,000m (2:53.22), both of which were season-best performances,  at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed 44th with a season-best performance in the 800m (2:10.41) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. Carey placed ninth in the 600m (1:29.00) and 11th in the high jump (1.71m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4.

 

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Carey placed ninth as a part of the 4x400m relay (3:26.83) at the ECAC Championships on March 6. Carey placed 17th as part of the 4x400m relay with a new program record and season-best time of 3:24.06 at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 27. He earned All-New England honors by placing eighth as a part of the 4x400m relay (3:30.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20. Carey also placed 16th in the 600m (1:27.11). Carey placed 10th in the high jump (1.76m), fourth as part of the 4x400m relay (3:31.58) and sixth as part of the 4x800m relay with a season-best time of 8:30.78 at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 13. Carey placed 16th in the high jump with a season-high effort of 1.78m and 15th in the 500m with a season-best time of 1:07.41 at the Boston University Invitational on Jan. 29. Carey placed 11th in the high jump (1.73m) and 13th in the 400m with a season-best time of 53.67 at the Wheaton Invitational on Jan. 23. He placed first in the 600m (1:26.62), second as part of the 4x400m relay (3:42.71) and third in the high jump (1.76m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 16. At the Yale Classic on Jan. 9, Carey placed 45th in the 400m (53.96) and 11th as part of the 4x800m relay (8:31.74). Carey finished ninth in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:00.97 and helped establish a new RIC record as part of the 4x440-yd relay (3:32.50) with a seventh place finish at the Harvard Open on Dec. 12. He finished first in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:24.88 and third in the high jump (1.76m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 5. He was named LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week once during the season.

 

He is a physical education & health major and a 2009 graduate of South Kingstown High School.

 

Senior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) finished ninth in the mile (4:18.76) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. McCloskey finished 25th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:16.42 at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 23. He placed ninth in the mile (4:20.12) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. McCloskey earned N.E. Alliance honors with second place finishes in the mile (4:21.29), the 3,000m with a season-high time of 8:54.28 and the 5,000m with a season-high time of 15:52.20 at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished seventh in the mile (4:25.45) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. McCloskey finished 66th in the mile (4:21.54) at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. He finished third in the mile (4:24.78) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. McCloskey took first in the 3,000m (9:03.19) and finished third in the 1,000m with a season-high time of 2:40.61 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. He finished second in the mile (4:17.12) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. McCloskey took first place in both the 1,000m (2:41.29) and the 3,000m (8:47.09) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

As a junior in 2011-2012, McCloskey was named the team MVP. He took 12th in the mile (4:18.90) at the ECAC Championships on March 3. He broke his own record with a 20th place finish in the mile (4:11.95) at the NEICAAA Championships on Feb. 25, and was also a member of the 4x800m relay team that broke their own record with a 14th-place finish and a time of 7:52.55. McCloskey earned All-New England honors in the mile with a seventh place finish (4:18.37) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 18. He won the N.E. Alliance Championship in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 8:39.50 at the Alliance Championships on Feb. 11, while also earning N.E. Alliance honors as the Little East Champion with a season-best effort in the 1,000m (2:32.40) and a second place finish. McCloskey finished 29th in the mile (4:15.41) at the BU Terrier Invitational on Jan. 28. He placed second in the 3,000m (8:40.44) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. McCloskey placed first in both the 1,000m (2:38.16) and the 3,000m (8:50.78) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He finished first in the mile (4:21.91) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. McCloskey placed fourth in the mile (4:19.03) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10. He finished first in the 3,000m (8:43.85) and placed second in the 1,000m (2:37.19) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3. McCloskey was named Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Week once on the season.

 

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, McCloskey helped establish a new program record in the 4x800m relay (7:55.99) at the NEICAAA Championship Meet on Feb. 26. McCloskey earned a pair of N.E. Alliance honors by placing sixth in the 1,000m (2:40.37) and seventh in the 3,000m (8:55.78) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 12. He placed 55th with a season-best performance in the 3,000m (8:55.76) at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29. McCloskey finished ninth with a season-best performance in the mile (4:34.21) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He placed second with a season-best performance in the 1,000m (2:40.36) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. McCloskey took second in the mile (4:34:51) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed 16th in the 3,000m (9:06.22) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. McCloskey placed third in the mile (4:38.00) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4.

 

As a freshman in 2009-2010, McCloskey placed sixth in the 4x800m relay with a season-best time of 8:30.78 at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 13. He finished 22nd in the mile with a season-best time of 4:44.61 at the Wheaton Invitational on Jan. 23. He placed second as part of the 4x800m (8:47.94), fourth in the 1,000m (2:49.53) and 10th in the mile (4:45.90) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 16. At the Harvard Open on Dec. 12, McCloskey placed 24th in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:04.10. He placed fourth in the 1,000m with a season-best time of 2:40.63 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 5.

 

He is a secondary education major with a concentration in history and a 2009 graduate of South Kingstown High School.

 

Senior Austin Pena (Warwick, RI) finished 14th in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:02.91 at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. He finished 12th in the preliminaries of the 500m (1:06.30) at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 23. Pena placed 10th in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:23.95 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. He earned N.E. Alliance honors with a sixth place effort in the 600m (1:24.53) and second as part of the 4x400m relay (3:26.61). He also finished 12th in the 1,000m (2:42.98) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Pena finished ninth in the 1,000m (2:38.52) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He finished 36th in the 500m with a season-best time of 1:06.27 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. Pena placed third in the 600m (1:25.32) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He placed first in the 600m (1:25.13) and finished 11th in the 1,000m (3:01.33) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Pena placed third at the 1,000m with a season-high time of 2:37.18 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He took eighth in the 500m (1:07.45) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Pena placed first in the 600m (1:24.88) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

He finished eighth with a season-best effort in the 600m (1:26.16) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. Pena placed second with a season-best performance in the 400m (53.02) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He finished fourth in the 1,000m with a season-best time of 2:47.14 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. Pena placed 10th in the 500m (1:08.62) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10, and was also part of the 4x440m relay squad that helped establish a new program record with a sixth place finish (3:30.32). He finished first in the 600m (1:27.00) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Pena placed 18th with a season-best performance in the 500m (1:07.01) at the ECAC Championships on March 5. Pena helped establish a new program record in the 4x800m relay (7:55.99) at the NEICAAA Championship Meet on Feb. 26. Pena finished 19th in the 600m (1:28.24) at the Div. III New England Championships on Feb. 19. He placed ninth with a season-best performance in the 600m (1:25.71) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 12. Pena placed 26th in the 500m (1:07.90) at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29. He finished fourth in the 600m (1:28.03) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15.Pena finished fourth in the 1,000m (2:50.98) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed ninth in the 500m (1:08.14) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. Pena placed third with a season-best performance in the 1,000m (2:43.39) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4. 

 

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Pena placed ninth as part of the 4x400m relay (3:26.83) at the ECAC Championships on March 6. Pena placed 17th as part of the 4x400m relay with a new program record and season-best time of 3:24.06 at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 27.He earned All-New England honors by placing eighth as part of the 4x400m relay (3:30.31) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 20. He placed sixth as part of the 4x800m relay with a season-best time of 8:30.78, fourth in the 4x400m relay (3:31.58), and 16th in the 800m (2:06.03) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 13. Pena placed 70th in the 800m (2:06.49) at the Boston University Invitational on Jan. 29. Pena placed 27th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:50.86 at the Wheaton Invitational on Jan. 23. He placed first in the 800m (2:05.28) and second as part of the 4x400m relay (3:42.71) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 16. At the Yale Classic on Jan. 9, Pena placed 37th in the 400m with a season-best time of 53.19 and 11th as a part of the 4x800m relay (8:31.74). Pena placed 32nd in the 800m (2:05.27) and helped establish a new RIC record as part of the 4x440-yd relay (3:32.50) with a seventh place finish at the Harvard Open on Dec. 12. He finished fourth in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:03.65 and fourth as part of the 4x400m relay (3:36.06) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 5.

 

He is a justice studies major and a 2009 graduate of Toll Gate High School.

 

Senior Shawn Stadnick (Wakefield, RI) finished ninth in the 800m (1:57.19) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. Stadnick finished 29th in the preliminaries of the 800m (1:58.23) at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 23. He placed 15th in the 800m (2:00.23) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Stadnick was the Little East Champion and earned N.E. Alliance honors with a second place effort in the 800m (1:57.99), and also earned N.E. Alliance honors by finishing fourth in the mile with a season-best time of 4:21.79 and second as part of the 4x400m relay (3:26.61) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished fifth in the 800m (1:58.02) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Stadnick finished 25th in the 800m (1:54.72) at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. Stadnick took first in the 800m (1:57.09) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished first in both the mile (4:33.90) and the 1,000m with a season-high time of 2:36.88 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Stadnick took first place in the mile (4:33.20) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He placed second in the 800m with a season-best time of 1:56.54 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Stadnick finished first in both the 800m (1:59.88) and the mile (4:29.47) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1. He was named the Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Week once on the season.

 

As a junior in 2011-2012, Stadnick finished 11th in the 800m with a season-best time of 1:55.49 at the ECAC Championships on March 3. He was part of the 4x800m relay team that broke their own record with a 14th-place finish and a time of 7:52.55 at the NEICAAA Championships on Feb. 25. Stadnick finished 18th (2:02.87) in the 800m at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 18. He finished seventh in the 800m (1:59.31) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 11. Stadnick finished 27th in the 800m (1:56.05) at the BU Terrier Invitational on Jan. 28. He finished second in the 800m (2:00.53) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 21. Stadnick notched a first place finish in the 800m (1:59.54) at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Jan. 14. He placed sixth with a season-best performance in the 600m (1:25.96) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 7. Stadnick finished sixth in the 800m (2:00.25) at the Harvard Invitational on Dec. 10 and was also part of the 4x440m relay squad that helped establish a new program record with a sixth place finish (3:30.32). He placed fourth in the 800m (2:01.82) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 3.

 

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Stadnick helped establish a new program record in the 4x800m relay (7:55.99) at the NEICAAA Championship Meet on Feb. 26.  Stadnick finished 20th in the 800m (2:02.61) at the Div. III New England Championships on Feb. 19. Stadnick earned N.E. Alliance honors for his second place season-best finish in the 800m (1:59.06) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 12. He finished 39th with a season-best performance in the 500m (1:10.90) at the Boston University Terrier Invitational on Jan. 29. Stadnick placed fourth in the 800m (2:04.19) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 22. He took second in the 800m (2:05.16) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 15. Stadnick placed third with a season-best performance (2:47.44) in the 1,000m at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 8. He placed 14th in the 800m (2:03.00) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 11. Stadnick placed second in the 800m (2:01.64) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 4.

He placed 42nd in the 800m with a season-best time of 1:59.50 at the Boston University Invitational on Jan. 29. Stadnick placed 13th in the 800m (2:01.72) at the Wheaton Invitational on Jan. 23. He placed fourth in the 600m (1:28.86) and second as part of the 4x800m relay (8:47.94) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 16. At the Yale Classic on Jan. 9, Stadnick placed 15th in the 800m (2:04.80) and 11th as a part of the 4x800m relay (8:31.74). Stadnick finished 34th in the 800m (2:05.74) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 12. He finished 8th in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:28.71 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 5.

 

He is a computer science major and a 2009 graduate of South Kingstown High School.

 

Junior Craig Amado (Providence, RI) took first place in the triple jump (13.94m) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. He earned All-New England honors in the triple jump with a third place finish (13.82m), while also placing 12th in the long jump (6.25m), at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Amado was the N.E. Alliance Champion in the triple jump, placing first overall with a season-high mark of 14.42m, and also earned N.E. Alliance honors in the long jump with a season-high mark of 6.65m with a fourth place effort at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10.

 

Amado finished first in the triple jump (13.95m), 11th in the 400m (52.18), 15th in the long jump (6.03m) and 27th in the 200m (24.46) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He placed 10th in the triple jump (13.76m) and finished 53rd in the 400m with a season-best time of 50.15 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. Amado placed first in the triple jump (13.82m), second in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:25.97, and fourth in the long jump (6.09m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Amado placed second in the long jump (6.35) and third in the 200m with a season-high time of 23.05 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He took third place in the 400m (50.22) and fourth in the triple jump (14.04m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. He was also a member of the 4x440m relay team broke the previous program record with a second-place time of 3:25.30. Amado placed first in both the triple jump (14.25m) and the 400m (51.43) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Junior Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) finished 16th in the 3,000m (9:42.60) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 20th in the 3,000m with a season-high time of 9:40.49 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. DeCristofaro finished 10th in the 3,000m (9:53.58) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished eighth in the mile (4:51.77) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. DeCristofaro finished fifth in the 3,000m (9:47.15) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 57th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:50.73 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. DeCristofaro finished 10th in the 3,000m (9:44.87) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Junior Blest Norris (Grosse Pointe, MI) placed fifth in the 55m (6.55) and 40th in the 200m with a season-high time of 23.39 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Norris took first in the 60m (7.12) and followed with a third place finish in the 200m (23.84) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Junior Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) finished 12th in the 5,000m (17:03.65) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 16th in the 3,000m (9:37.59) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Richer finished eighth in the 5,000m (16:58.66) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished sixth in the 1,000m with a season-best time of 2:54.03 and ninth in the 3,000m (9:54.83) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Richer placed fifth in the 5,000m (16:58.80) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 30th in the 3,000m with a season-best time of 9:30.67 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Richer finished seventh in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 16:42.92 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Junior Michael Swift (Westerly, RI) finished 24th in the 200m (24.02) and 27th with a season-best time in the preliminaries of the 55m (6.99) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Swift finished 25th in the 200m (24.36) and 46th in the preliminaries of the 60m with a season-best time of 7.58 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He finished 81st in the preliminaries of the 60m (7.62) and 146th in the 200m with a season-high time of 23.66 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. Swift finished 10th in the 200m (24.24) and 19th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 7.54 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished fourth in both the 55m (7.03) and the 200m (24.72) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Swift finished seventh in the 55m (7.06) and ninth in the 200m (24.28) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 76th in the 200m (24.07) and 122nd in the preliminaries of the 55m (7.10) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Swift finished 12th in the 200m (24.51) and 16th in the 60m preliminaries (7.56) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Sophomore Jarell Forbes (Providence, RI) was named the menís indoor track & field teamís MVP. He finished first in the 60m hurdles with a program-record time of 8.39 and took fifth in the 400m (50.85) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. Forbes finished 25th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (8.65) at the N.E. Open Championships on Feb. 23. He earned All-New England honors in the heptathlon by placing fourth with a program-record score of 4499 at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Forbes also placed 13th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (8.70). He was the Little East Champion and earned N.E. Alliance honors thanks a second place effort in the 55m hurdles with a program-record time of 7.78 at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Forbes earned N.E. Alliance honors by placing fourth in the 400m (51.09) and second as part of the 4x400m relay (3:26.61). He also placed 10th in the 200m (23.55), 12th in the high jump (1.73m) and 17th in the long jump (5.93m). He was also a member of the 4x200m relay team broke the previous program record with a fifth-place time of 1:33.90. He finished fourth in the 60m hurdles (8.63) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2.

 

Forbes finished 21st in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (8.47) and also finished 32nd in the 400m with a season-best time of 49.66 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26.  Forbes placed first in the 60m hurdles (8.50) and fourth in the 600m with a season-best time of 1:25.45 at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He placed first in both the long jump with a season-best mark of 6.32m and the 200m (23.96), while also finishing second in the 55m hurdles (7.96), third in the 55m (7.00) and 13th in the shot with a season-high mark of 9.85m at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Forbes placed first in the 55m hurdles (8.06), second in the high jump with a season-high mark of 1.83m, sixth in the 200m with a season-high time of 23.45 and 11th in the shot (8.73m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 21st in the high jump (1.80m), 25th in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles (8.40) and 36th in the long jump (5.76) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. He was also a member of the 4x440m relay team broke the previous program record with a second-place time of 3:25.30. Forbes finished seventh in the 1,000m with a season-high time of 2:51.54, ninth in the 60m (7.49) and 15th in the shot (9.38m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Sophomore Aleno Gomes (Providence, RI) finished 17th in the 400m (53.16), 22nd in the preliminaries of the 55m with a season-best time of 6.92 and 27th in the 200m (24.14) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He was also a member of the 4x200m relay team broke the previous program record with a fifth-place time of 1:33.90. Gomes finished 12th in the 400m (52.63), 17th in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.80 and 32nd in the preliminaries of the 60m with a season-high time of 7.46 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He finished 11th in the 400m with a season-best time of 51.37 and was also a member of the 4x440m relay team broke the previous program record with a second-place time of 3:25.30 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Gomes placed fourth in the 400m (52.32) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Kenny Bouchey (Cornish, ME) finished 13th in the 600m with a season-high time of 1:27.68 and 16th in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles (8.94) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 17th in the 600m (1:28.03) and 27th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles with a season-best time of 9.88 at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Bouchey finished 75th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (10.33) and also finished 111th in the 800m (2:03.21) at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. He finished eighth in the 800m (2:03.80) and 12th in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles (10.14) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. Bouchey finished first in the 800m (2:07.99) and fourth in the 55m hurdles (9.04) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. He finished 17th in the 800m with a season-high time of 2:02.49 and 31st in the preliminaries of the 55m hurdles with a season-high time of 8.50 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Bouchey finished eighth in the 60m hurdles (10.44) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Christian Colavecchio (Foster, RI) placed 20th in the weight throw with a season-high mark of 11.03m at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 25th in the weight throw (10.46m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Colavecchio placed 14th in the weight throw (9.57m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He placed 39th in the weight throw (8.61m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Colavecchio placed 18th in the weight throw (8.46m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Jack Covino (Cumberland, RI) placed 12th in the weight throw with a season-high mark of 13.06m at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 42nd in the weight throw (11.42m) at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. He placed fifth in the weight throw (12.96m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. Covino placed fourth in the weight throw (12.53m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. He placed 29th in the weight throw (12.46m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Covino placed 10th in the weight throw (12.01m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Edward Cummins (Lincoln, RI) posted a pair of fourth place finishes in the weight throw with a season-high mark of 15.74m and the shot (11.84m) at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. He placed 12th in the weight throw (14.41m) at the 2013 N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Cummins earned N.E. Alliance honors with a third place finish in the weight throw (15.65m) and also finished 18th in the shot (11.44m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished fourth in the weight throw (15.20m) and 13th in the shot with a season-high mark of 12.33m at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He placed 28th in the weight throw (13.82m) at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26.

 

Cummins placed 11th in the shot (11.19m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He placed second in the weight throw (13.96m) and third in the shot (12.09m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Cummins placed second in the weight throw (14.49m) and fourth in the shot (11.60m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He placed 22nd in the weight throw (13.62m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Cummins placed sixth in the weight throw (13.65m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1. He was named the Little East Conference Field Athlete of the Week twice on the season.

 

Freshman Joel Ikuejamofo (Providence, RI) finished 20th in the 400m (52.26) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Feb. 16. Ikuejamofo finished 16th in the 400m (53.05) and 28th in the 200m (24.18) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He was also a member of the 4x200m relay team broke the previous program record with a fifth-place time of 1:33.90. He placed 21st in the 400m with a season-best time of 49.28 and finished 79th in the 200m with a season-best time of 22.81 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. Ikuejamofo finished second in the 400m (52.20) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished first in the 400m (51.81) and third in the 200m (24.39) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Ikuejamofo finished fifth in the 200m (23.34) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He placed 13th in the 400m (51.60) and was also a member of the 4x440m relay team broke the previous program record with a second-place time of 3:25.30 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Ikeujamofo finished ninth in the 200m (23.97) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Jarell James (Providence, RI) finished sixth in the 200m with a season-best time of 23.18 at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on March 2. James earned N.E. Alliance honors and was the Little East Champion in the 200m with a fourth place effort (23.26) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He also finished ninth in the long jump with a season-high mark of 6.22m, 10th in the 400m (51.87), 17th in the preliminaries of the 55m with a season-high time of 6.80 and was a member of the 4x200m relay team broke the previous program record with a fifth-place time of 1:33.90. James finished 12th in the 200m (23.55), 18th in the 400m (53.71), 24th in the long jump (5.82m) and 34th in preliminaries of the 60m (7.48) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. He placed 14th in the 400m with a season-high time of 51.70 and 30th in the long jump (5.82m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. James placed fourth in the 60m with a season-high time of 7.30 and sixth in the long jump (6.05m) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1. He was named the Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Week once on the season.

 

Freshman Evan Migliore (Closter, NJ) placed 14th in the shot (10.54m) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He placed ninth in the shot (10.95m) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Migliore placed sixth in the shot (10.92m) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He placed 32nd in the shot (10.59m) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Migliore placed 11th in the shot with a season-high mark of 11.80m at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Brandon Paulino (Bristol, RI) finished 11th in the 5,000m (17:24.94) at the Wesleyan Invitational on Jan. 19. He finished eighth in the 3,000m (9:46.76) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Paulino finished sixth in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 17:24.17 at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 44th in the 3,000m (9:43.70) at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Paulino finished 10th in the 5,000m with a season-best time of 17:00.07 at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.

 

Freshman Michael Pecchia (Warwick, RI) placed 20th in the shot (11.40m) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. He finished 25th in the shot (10.86m) at the Tufts Stampede Invitational on Feb. 2. Pecchia placed third in the shot with a season-high mark of 12.52m at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He placed 25th in the shot (11.78m) and 40th in the weight throw with a season-high mark of 7.68m at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8.

 

Freshman Clarence Walker (Brockton, MA) finished 31st in the 200m (24.52) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Feb. 10. Walker finished 165th in the 200m with a season-best time of 24.44 at the B.U. Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26. He finished seventh in the 400m with a season-high time of 55.52 at the Coast Guard Invitational on Jan. 12. Walker finished 13th in the 200m (24.79) at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 5. He finished 65th in the 200m (23.90) and 78th in the preliminaries of the 55m with a season-best time of 6.90 at the Harvard Open on Dec. 8. Walker placed 17th in the 200m (24.68) and 18th in the 60m preliminaries (7.65) at the Springfield Invitational on Dec. 1.
