LUCIER LEADS ANCHORMEN TO SEVENTH PLACE FINISH AT POP CROWELL INVITATIONAL

Wenham, Mass.- Freshman Justin Lucier (Attleboro, MA) finished 24th (155 runners) with a time of 30:03 to lead the Rhode Island College menís cross country team at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday.

 

The Anchormen finished seventh (20 teams) in their season opener after totaling a score of 215. Georgia College won the meet with a score of 25.

 

Sophomore Brandon Paulino (Bristol, RI) came in 32nd with a time of 30:21 to finish just behind Lucierís pace.

Seniors Cameron Richer (Woonsocket, RI) and Tom DeCristofaro (Smithfield, RI) finished 45th and 50th, respectively, with times of 31:01 and 31:14.

 

 Junior Nicholas Longolucco (Bradford, RI) posted a 129th place finish and a time of 36:37, while freshman Shilo Chaves (Wrentham, MA) finished 138th with a time of 38:23.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Elms Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28.
