TELLIER LEADS ANCHORWOMEN TO FIFTH
PLACE FINISH AT POP CROWELL INVITATIONAL

Wenham, Mass.-Sophomore Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished 21st (177 runners) with a time of 21:42 to pace the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday.

 

The Anchorwomen finished fifth (19 teams) in their season opener after totaling a score of 143. The University of New England won the meet with a score of 35.

Freshman Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) came in 25th with a time of 21:55 to finish just behind Tellier, while freshman Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) posted a 29th place finish and a time of 22:09.

 

Sophomore Meg Paquet (Coventry, RI) finished 33rd with a time of 22:20, while junior Jenna Pare (Tiverton, RI) came in 35th overall with a time of 22:26.

 

 Freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 81st with a time of 24:09.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Elms Invitational on Saturday, April 28.
