LOMAS LEADS ANCHORWOMEN TO FIFTH
PLACE FINISH AT ELMS INVITATIONAL

Chicopee, Mass.-Freshman Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished 14th (129 runners) with a time of 21:06 to pace the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team at the Elms College Invitational on Saturday.

 

The Anchorwomen finished fifth (22 teams) after posting a team score of 138. The University of New England won the meet with a score of 23.

 

Sophomore Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished five spots behind Lomas at 19th overall with a time of 21:31.

Freshman Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) and sophomore Meg Paquet (Coventry, RI) finished back-to-back at 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Dandurand posted a time of 22:16, while Paquet followed with a time of 22:17. 

 

 Freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 44th with a time of 23:23.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Westfield Invitational on Saturday, October 12.
