TELLIER LEADS WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TO 14th PLACE FINISH AT JAMES EARLEY INVITATIONAL

Westfield, Mass.-Sophomore Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) finished 62nd (361 runners) with a time of 20:43.71 to lead the Rhode Island College women’s cross country team at the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State on Saturday.

 

The Anchorwomen tied for 14th (38 teams) with Coast Guard after posting a team score of 443. Williams College won the meet with a score of 46.

 

 

 Freshman Abigail Dandurand

 

Freshman Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) finished 11 spots behind Tellier at 73rd overall with a time of 20:54.61. Junior Jenna Pare (Tiverton, RI) followed Lomas with a 80th place finish and a time of 21:02.42.

 

Freshman Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) posted a time of 21:46.43 and finished 128th overall, while freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) finished 164th with a time of 22:24.37.

 

Sophomore Meg Paquet (Coventry, RI) finished 226th with a time of 23:39.04.  

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College competes at the Western New England Invitational on Saturday, Oct, 19 (10:30 a.m.).
