CABRAL & MALBOEUF LEAD RIC IN, 3-0, LOSS AT KEENE STATE

Keene, N.H.-Senior middle hitter Amanda Cabral (Rumford, RI) knocked down six kills, while sophomore outside hitter Michelle Malboeuf (Cumberland, RI) contributed five winners, as Rhode Island College ended the season with a 3-0 loss to Keene State on Saturday afternoon.

 

Sophomore setter Emma Cajthaml (El Cajon, CA) handed out 12 assists for the Anchorwomen (3-26, 0-7 LEC). Freshman libero Nicole Thibodeau (Loxahatchee, FL) and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Palazzini (Woonsocket, RI) contributed six and five digs, respectively.

The Owls (19-12, 6-1 LEC) defeated the Anchorwomen in straight sets 25-11, 25-15 and 25-14.  Sophomore Madeline Nossiff (Portsmouth, NH) led the Owls with a match high 14 kills to go with three block assists.  Classmate Angela Silveri (Poughquag, NY) had nine kills, five digs and two blocks.

 

Junior Sammy Dormio (Leesburg, VA) and sophomore Alexis Michal (Windham, NH) each had seven digs.  Michal also had 21 assists. Sophomore Kaitlin Boyer (West Greenwich, RI) had three service aces.
