2013 Rhode Island College Womenís Cross Country
Season Summary

 

Providence, R.I.-Head Coach Kevin Jacksonís team closed out the season at the 2013 New England Div. III Womenís Cross Country Championships on Nov. 16. The Anchorwomen placed 34th (53 teams) with a score of 958.

 

 

 

The Anchorwomen placed sixth (15 teams) overall and fourth (seven teams) in the Little East at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2 with team scores of 152 and 103, respectively.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Junior Jenna Pare (Tiverton, RI) was the teamís top finisher on two occasions. Pare placed 130th (24:12.08) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 16. She earned N.E. Alliance honors with an 18th place finish and a season-best effort (20:05.89) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2. Pare placed 15th (20:25.15) at the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 19. She placed 80th (21:02.42) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. Pare came in 35th overall (22:26) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21.

 

 

 

Sophomore Rebecca Tellier (Smithfield, RI) was named Team MVP and was RICís top finisher on two occasions. She placed 146th (24:21.19) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 16. Tellier placed 30th (20:26.32) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2. She finished 12th with a season-best effort (20:16.41) at the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 19. Tellier led RIC with a 62nd place finish (20:43.71) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. She finished 19th overall (21:31) at the Elms Invitational on Sept. 28. Tellier finished 21st (21:42) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21.

 

 

 

Sophomore Meghan Paquet (Coventry, RI) finished 226th (23:39.04) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. She finished 33rd with a season-best effort (22:17) at the Elms Invitational on Sept. 28.  Paquet finished 33rd (22:20) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21.

 

 

 

Freshman Abigail Dandurand (Hope Valley, RI) posted a 275th-place finish (26:37.74) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 16. Dandurand placed 62nd (21:26.18) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2. She finished 38th overall with a season-best effort (21:11.12) at the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 19. Dandurand finished 128th (21:46.43) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. She finished 32nd (22:16) at the Elms Invitational on Sept. 28. Dandurand came in 25th (21:55) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21.

 

 

 

Freshman Lauren Deguire (Blackstone, MA) placed 236th (25:51.60) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 16. Deguire placed 70th with a season-best effort (21:46.52) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2. She finished 70th (22:03.34) at the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 19. Deguire finished 164th (22:24.37) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. She finished 44th (23:23) at the Elms Invitational on Sept. 28. Deguire finished 81st (24:09) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21.

 

 

 

Freshman Allison Lomas (Saunderstown, RI) was RICís top finisher on two occasions. She placed 182nd (24:55.64) at the N.E. Div. III Championships on Nov. 16. Lomas placed 26th with a season-best effort (20:20.33) at the N.E. Alliance Championships on Nov. 2. She finished 21st (20:38.09) at the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 19. Lomas placed 73rd (20:54.61) at the James Earley Invitational on Oct. 12. She finished 14th (21:06) at the Elms Invitational on Sept. 28. Lomas posted a 29th place finish (22:09) at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Sept. 21. She was named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week twice on the season.
