BRABOY, WOSENCROFT & BARRETTE LEAD ANCHORWOMEN TO SIXTH PLACE FINISH
AT COAST GUARD INVITATIONAL

New London, Conn.-Sophomore Autumn Wosencroft (Newport, RI), junior Daria Braboy (Providence, RI) and freshman Destinee Barrette (Warwick, RI) each registered first place finishes to pace the Rhode Island College women’s outdoor track & field team at the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday.

 

The Anchorwomen finished sixth overall (13 teams) with a score of 50.0. Holy Cross won the meet with a team score of 248.50.

 

 

 Sophomore Autumn Wosencroft

 

Wosencroft took first place in the long jump (5.36 m), placed second in the 200m (26.21) and finished seventh in the 100m (13.02).

 

 

Junior Daria Braboy

 

Braboy placed first in the triple jump (10.93m) and fourth in the 800m (2:24.96).

 

Barrette took first in the hammer throw (47.36m), seventh in the discus (29.93m), and 19th in the shot (9.10m).

 

 

Freshman Destinee Barrette

 

Senior Natasha Miller (Wakefield, RI) finished sixth in the long jump (4.87m), 19th in the 200m (28.40) and 22nd in the 100m (13.99).

 

Freshman Sierra Smith (Foster, RI) placed ninth in the high jump (1.47m).

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Invitational on Saturday, April 5.
